The New Hope Senior Citizen’s Centre’s mandate is to provide seniors with accessibility to community life and to help fight against and alleviate isolation amongst seniors in the NDG community. Since 1979, our dynamic community centre has been providing a healthy space where members, 50 years and over, can gather for recreation and social activities, have lunch together, stimulate their intellects, pursue their interests and do volunteer work.

The New Hope Senior Citizen’s Centre’s mandate is to provide seniors with accessibility to community life and to help fight against and alleviate isolation amongst seniors in the NDG community. Since 1979, our dynamic community centre has been providing a healthy space where members, 50 years and over, can gather for recreation and social activities, have lunch together, stimulate their intellects, pursue their interests and do volunteer work.
New Hope offers programs and services to people aged 55 and over (some members are younger and have been accepted under special circumstances). The majority of our members live on fixed incomes. The average age of our membership is 79. Membership to New Hope costs $10 per year. Membership includes the ability to participate in all activities held at the centre. Membership also includes free transportation to and from the centre for seniors unable to get there on their own. This transportation service is only offered to those living in N.D.G.
