Women on the Rise is seeking snowsuits to keep our members and their families warm this winter! We have received over 60 requests for snowsuits, ranging from babies to adults. The highest demand is for ages between 9-14, for both boys and girls. This year we believe it is an especially important initiative: we have witnessed an influx in new membership from recent immigrants, who will be experiencing their first Canadian winter, in addition to an increased economic instability felt by most of our members since the beginning of the pandemic.
Please consider donating any warm gear you no longer need or that your kids have outgrown. Donations can be delivered to our main site at 6897 ave Somerled, on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 12-3 (please email development@womenontherise.ca or phone ahead: 438-391-8108).
